Be careful of swinging doors, they're 360 !
Whoever said moving out would be easy must have been a millionaire I mean, I have been working full time for several months, pay rent, then all of a sudden the idea of buying groceries paying my phone bill and weekly bus passes seem so ... I don't know, impossible. Its like every time you think you have a little saved up, something comes along, your phone breaks, your iPod stops working, you drop your Mac, you catch my drift? But really, where does it all go!? I find myself walking into clothing stores (seeing as it is my job) and walking out empty handed. "hmm, do I buy those shoes or have lunch?" You'd think the choice was easy- not so! I love being on my own, don't get my wrong, but truth be told, I miss someone doing my laundry, having a home cooked meal or coming home to a snoring father on the couch. The little things that used to annoy you are the things you miss the most. Your mothers quirks, your fathers "I'm always right" attitude and the couch! Oh, how I miss that couch! Now I have noodle boxes, microwavable dinners and if I'm lucky I have enough time in a day to make pasta, I said make, not eat!

PJ and I at English Bay Vancouver ! |
So many people think being a fashion blogger is easy. They think you dress all pretty (well we do!) go to exciting events, hob nob with Kim Kardashian and come home to our pent house suits! NOT SO! Most of us have full time jobs, wear on sale items and hob nob with the caterer (I kid you not, there are some cute ones out there!) But for the most part, our job is amazing; we get to talk to designers, find out "behind the scenes" adventures and take photographs with people and make new friends within minutes. Fashion blogging is like a home cooked meal; the preparation is long a tedious but the final result is devine!

Mother and I, she taught me everything I know <3 |
Sure, I miss living under mommy and daddy's roof with warm food in my belly, fresh smelling clothing and the sound of snoring from the next room, but living on your own teaches you a lot. Like, how to be clean and organized, how to get yourself places, how to lean on your own shoulder, or better yet a wall! The best thing about living away from the rents is that you discover what and who you truly are. Mom and dad do so much for us that we forget to be thankful for what we have, but the minute your bags are packed and you're standing on the curb all of the things we took for granted soon come crashing down on our shoulders and sheeesh, there is a lot!
So remember, brave the weather, discover yourself, and don't put bleach in dark laundry, it doesn't end well!
