All tied up with the Kings
I always forget how great it is to be away from the city and hanging out with family. After spending nearly a year from anyone of the Chapman clan, I failed to remember just how amazing it was to be surrounded by people who love you.
I got on the Go train this morning and passed out, I was so tired from a busy day at work yesterday, I didn't dream much but from what I remember, the sleep was desperately needed. The moment I was back with family, I was soon reminded of how high paced three kids and two loony adults were and then all of a sudden I was exhausted again. You can never win.
Brunch was amazing, then we went for a hike. To be honest, I don't remember my last hike, but from what I experienced, I am out of shape, heavy and my footwork needs work. Is it embarrassing that a 5-year-old boy was climbing higher rocks than I was, twice as fast. I'm ashamed to say but I got my butt whooped by children and I'm the ex-sports player with calf muscles of steel!
So for the next few day's I'll be dining aue King(s) and singing camp fire songs as loud and proud as I can, because I'm with family, and family doesn't judge- harshly.
Happy Easter friends and family and may this next year be a time of reflection and love.
