Happy jingle jingle !

Lately, life has been one thing after another, and lately I have been really seeking the hand of God to come upon  my life and change me. Sure, that all sounds great, but it's never that easy. We always look to God to solve our problems, but that's not the way it works, wish it was. He doesn't SOLVE the issue, he comes in and helps us to ward off the evil one, and he's one more person rooting for us. Thank goodness He doesn't just sit on the sidelines and cheer us on, he fights with us, and makes sure that we're okay in order to go onto the next battle. I am learning that we should never make God our second choice, he should be our first! Before we get all heart-broken when things aren't going the way that we "think" they should, we shouldn't cry about it. God has a plan for all our lives and it's in his good plan that we do what He tells us too. If things don't work out, we shouldn't get bogged down, we should just realize that whatever didn't work out was most likely not the right thing for us.

I got a job at Club Monaco, and so far she's treating me well. I am an official stylist, making money. Unfortunately, I have come to the realization that consumerism is a sick and twisted place. We always need more, we always want more, and once we have it, then what. I feel, somewhat, nauseous selling a woman a $546 jacket, when she's already wearing one that looks equally as good as the one she's buying. When she gets home, she'll probably remove it from her bag, and hang it in her closet, only to look at it a few times, wear it for one season and when something newer, better and more elegant comes along, she'll ship the new one to the Salvation Army. Is it just me, or do you wish we could rent clothes? Borrow them, return them and get something different? How much easier, and cheaper would life be!

Mentally and physically I am well. I am really seeing Christ working in my life, and although things aren't easy, they are good. This Christmas I have a challenge for you; for every gift you buy for someone, you make a $5 deposit towards a homeless shelter, or to a place on the map that needs Christmas gifts, or just a letter. This Christmas, please don't make it about "how many" but make it about giving back. We live in a world where we can take and take and take, but when it comes to giving back, we clear our throats and awkwardly place our hands in our pockets. STOP, God asks us to take care of one another! Please stop thinking about just yourself and your close friends, but give the gift of a smile to a child around the world, or just down the street.

Things you can do this Christmas to make it more fulfilling.
- Pray for the homeless man/woman you encounter on the street.
-Donate to a food bank
-Give your cans and bottles to a collector
-Donate a Christmas gift
-Buy the person behind you a coffee
-Pass out socks on the street
-SMILE
-Pray for everyone you encounter, whether you know them or not, doesn't matter, everyone needs prayer.

I love you all, no matter what goes on in life, I am happy we met. Whatever you're going through, you aren't going through it alone, you have an amazing Heavenly Father who isn't going to abandon you! Christmas is not the time to think about ourselves and what WE'LL get, but what we can GIVE!
