A Week of Excitement

Week One
Well, here I am in St. Catharines. I landed shortly after 8:30pm eastern time, and walked swiftly to my shuttle, got on and was dropped off at the door of my new home.

As I was boarding the plane the family in the seats in front of me began speaking in a language that I recognized and when the father cracked a joke I began laughing, hysterically no less and soon we sparked up a conversation about Haiti and turnes out that they had spent 15 years there. Anyway, the next day (September 13th) I spent all day in bed trying to get used to the time difference. Yes, you may laugh that it's only 3hours, but when you have animea and are tired all the time 3 hours seems like a year. However I woke up just in time to pick up the middle child from school, she picked the perfect day to play hooky because COUSIN ERICA IS HERE!!! We picked her up from school and brought her home where we awkwardly got to know each other. The youngest was home from day care. By dinner time I was hopelessly in love with my new family. SK age 4, CK age 6, IK 7, and my two older cousins, the last time I saw them both I was 3 and she 16.

The next day was Friday and so I had the house to myself in the morning seeing as everyone was at school, mom dad and the three kids. TK, and husband MK are school teachers so the house was quite so I slept, all day, again. Later in the evening TK took me on a dinner date where we caught up  and sipped wine, laughing like two school girls eating Greek food in a charming but tacky restaurant.
SATURDAY, A relaxing day, we all hung out around the house, CK had a play date and so we went to the grocery store to get snacks for the festivities and we chilled, drank tea and rested as a family.

SUNDAY we all went to church, at 10am, A little early, but I made it. After we all went to Niagara Falls where we ohh'ed and aww'ed over the beautiful turquoise water that went rushing over the stunning marble falls. After that we went to Playdium and played in the giant arcade as a family and soon it was time to drop IK off at gymnastics. We went home leaving IK to tumble and fall on his own while we went and got dinner ready. After that we ate as a family and watched a movie on the couch and off to bed the kids went.

So far my time in St. Catharines has been wonderful, I have met some great kids and parents, chased dogs around the neighbourhood and piggy backed some crazy kids. Ill keep you updated.
