Ode to the West Coast !

11:55-Aug 11
Currently I am sitting beside a great and dear friend of mine at the BC Ferry terminal in Nanaimo.  Sipping my venti iced coffee from Starbucks and contemplating my upcoming travels. Tomorrow I am setting off for the fashionable east coast. Life is taking a full 180, I don't just mean in the fashion department, I mean weather, trees, the scenery. I spent some time at the beach yesterday and I found my heart sinking into the earth realizing that my 15min treck to Parksville beach was no longer an option. However, an hour and I will be in Canada's fashion wonderland and thirty minutes from Niagara falls. In the other direction I'll be facing North America's fashion capital, you guessed it New York City ! Anyway, Ill catch you up on the day's events a little later. Hang onto your socks!

Well, I am sitting beside a woman I don't know at the YVR airport in Vancouver and needless to say, everything went as planned yesterday. After KM and I docked in Vancouver we went straight into the city, parked my bags at my cousin's office then headed to Pacific Center for some, quick, shopping. Then we ran back, and headed to the apartment where we got dressed for an evening on the town. We rushed out and, got on the bus and headed to Rouge, A yuppy wet lounge in Gastown for drinks with an old Vancouver Fashion Week friend, NK. After that we ran, literally, to our next destination, Earls on Hornby. The funny story about Earls is I used to live in the apartments above and would order dinner from them occasionally, everyone there is so nice and welcoming, one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. After that we went to a great snowboard/skateboard bar called 'Warehouse.' It's a great place to meet amazing people, if you're a Whistler regular you run in to some locals. It has great DJ's, excellent drink selection and great looking men, perfect! After that KM, KC, VL and I headed home. After I arrived home I passed out on the couch and was fully unconscious the minute my head met the pillow.
This morning I headed for my favorite Starbucks on Granville, had my coffee and bagel and dashed to the bus, caught the bus and headed for the sky train. Now I am sitting at the terminal with headphones on. I hate flying and I am dreading this flight, however it's only 4 hours long so I can't really complain. I'm sad, I haven't really left the west coast for very long and here I am getting on a plane for the east coast, I have no solid plans but I do have a place to stay. I am following my passion and my passion is fashion, so please, wish me luck, pray for me and hope that things go well; take off, flight and landing.

Your's till the nerves wreck.
