Week Three

Good news everyone, I am still alive, kicking, not exactly, but alive. These last few days have been really great. I have been working at Swiss Chalet and received a complement on a card for being smiley and helpful! So far working there has been wonderful, the people, the atmosphere, everything is easy, sweet and relaxing. Not a whole lot to fill you in on, seeing as not a whole lot has happend.

Church this evening was amazing. Although we are talking about a very grim topic, human trafficking,  it's really giving insight into the community of St.Catherines. As you may or may not know, St.C is only moments away from the boarder and was used as an old 'Underground Railroad' root back while slavery wasn't "frowned" upon. But now, in 2012, those same roots are being used to smuggle women and men in and out of the united states to be bought and sold into slavery. This really hit home for me, seeing as I am a Haitian, and all Haitians are slaves from Africa. So, I have made it my personal goal to do whatever I can to make sure that slavery is abolished. As Harriet Tubman was an abolitionist for the African slaves, I want to be an abolitionist for the slaves of the 21st century.
A couple came to our church this evening to talk about slavery/sex trade in Kolkata, India and I feel that God might be directing me to go to India with the 'Collide' team in the new year. I am not sure if this is just my head talking or the Lord, so I really need you to lift that in your praires for decrement.  If I am to go it will be around $3000, so I am going to need help with founding and all the fun stuff that goes along with missions work. Seeing as it is for the Lord I am trusting him whole heartedly to guide my path.

So if you please, I need prayer for Christ's plans for my life. I need prayer for the family I am living with. For family back in BC and for new friends.
